Sweden is a photographic challenge. It’s a high speed rush on snow and ice, with a blend of daylight, dawn, dusk and a foray or two into the dark side. There might not have been the much loved snowbanks lining the corners this year, but that only served to make the challenge greater. Jari Matti Latvala responded best of all by winning the event following his own belief and convictions in his attacking drive, the boy has real “Sisu”. When he is on-it JML is a joy to watch and fast like hell.
Presented here is a small selection of McKlein’s favourite photos from the rally, the work of Daniel Roeseler, Sarah Vessely, Tony Welam & Colin McMaster. Apologies in advance for the excess of left-to-right pics, we must find better right handers next year.
