Rallying in Sardinia - a brief history in photos.

This weekend the IRC visits the beautiful Italian island of Sardinia where top class rallying has been taking place for many years in the form of the Rally Coast Smeralda. In 2004 Costa Smeralda gained the moniker Rally d’Italia when Sardinia played host to the World Championship for 6 years, after which the powers-that-be decided a return to the mainland would be a better option for WRC, allowing IRC to come and fill their place in 2010. With its fine food, wine and sunshine this is a very popular rally for the journalists and photographers alike, so please enjoy our photographic tribute to a great event.
