Gronholm returns to Global RallyCross

Double World Rally champion Marcus Gronholm will return to America's Global RallyCross series for a full season in 2012.

The Finn will again drive an Olsbergs Motor Sport Evolution run Ford Fiesta under the Best Buy Racing banner, with British Rallycross convert David Binks as his team-mate.

“I am really pleased to be competing in the GRC with Best Buy Mobile and OMSE” said Gronholm. "Although I won some races last year, that is not good enough. I have always wanted to win every time I get in a car and I have some unfinished business in the GRC.”

Team boss Andreas Eriksson said Gronholm's presence raised the bar in the GRC, in which David Higgins and Ken Block will also appear.

"I’ve known Marcus a long time and he is a perfectionist and he pushes everyone, including himself, to be the best they can be – and then to be better!" said Eriksson. "That just raises the game for everybody, which is good."
