Harry Hunt will focus on the Intercontinental Rally Challenge in 2012, contesting the full 13-round season in his iCars Citroen DS3 R3T.

Having won the IRC's 2WD class in 2010 and been top two-wheel drive contender in the Production World Rally Championship in 2011, Hunt will add five further events in the Italian and French series alongside his main campaign as he builds on all he has learned in his career so far.

"This year is all about consolidation for me," said Hunt. "My aim is to take on board all the lessons from 2011, when we started with a new and complex car and some new events, and put them to the best possible use in 2012.

"We took a really huge step up in 2011 and it took a while to learn how to get the best from the Citroen, especially when so many of the events were unfamiliar to us.

"With a second season in the car, coming back to some of the rallies we know plus also learning new events against strong local opposition, we should be able to get closer to the limit of our potential."

Robbie Durant will continue as Hunt's co-driver.
